Help. 2000 Cherokee. Aircon does not work when dial is on 1, 2 or 3 but works on 4.

Any input why and how to fix this?

White ceramic block on the blower housing just under the passenger side dash. Might be behind a little piece of metal to protect it. You will see the wires going to it.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the responses. Just to clarify, there is not blower at 1, 2 and 3. But the blower goes full blast at 4. Both for cooling and heating.

I want to do it personally but I am inexperience. Willing to learn to do it. I hope I am not being foolish Does anybody have a link to show what I need to do? Thanks!

its the resistor. it is bypassed when running on 4 because it is not needed to resist the current to slow the motor down. replace it and be done with it. good luck man.
