No no no. I'm still waiting for mine to come in but the sealed head lights are already H4's just sealed into the housing. The only thing you have to cut an splice is for the halo/angel eyes. How you do that is up to you!

I get it now and wiggles when you look on your side marker lights it should be a red and blue wire you tap into. You can wait for the write up if you like.

Like I said (not trying to sound like a jerk), it doesn't matter. Personal preference. I know I'm going to personally (I have a 2001) go into the side marker cause it will use less wire and it's the same height as my headlight. But, it's completely up to you.
