I personally like the prerunner style. IMO it looks better but also adds some good function, such as further frog flip protection and brush guard type protection. But yeah definitely don't go too big, couple inches over hood height, max.

im a Socal guys so prerunner is kind of all around me

it also doesnt add too much weight in the front

For Approach angle I just head in on an angle and turn my wheel into the rock.. Easier on the frame. If your building a cage you should have a support running over the top of your header and over your cowl.. That is what hood protection is not a random bent piece of tube. If you want to look like a prerunner that's fine. Just don't try to pass it off that it dose something. Seams to make a lot of people mad that there is no use for a stinger. Sorry I use good fab skills better driving skills and god blessed me with my own object sticking out. So I don't see the point. Sorry once more to the people god hates.

Sorry no use for a stinger and would never buy a bumper. Just not into the hole cookie cutter XJ thing. Much more into building something. Nice to know your a bolt on Queen thought. And no not upset at all. People seam to get that impression a lot. Guess they can't see me laughing my ***** off.

so I should have said you couldnt afford the extra tube when you built your bumper, thats what youre saying?
