AC condenser blunder
Hi, Randio here, I was removing my radiator and inadvertently snapped the fitting on my AC condenser. Whoose all the gas sang out and finally quit. Is it possible to not even use the condenser? Do I have to do anything to the compressor? I am clueless and a bit embarrassed too. Any ideas? I have a '96 Cherokee 4.0L, automatic, not a Grand Cherokee. Thanks.

I'm that situation, yes it is safe, just un-plug the low pressure sensor and the compressor clutch won't engage, so the compressor will essentially be disengaged. Go one step further and put in an ac bypass pulley and you will gain a few horsepower on the Butt Dyno
If you mean bypass the condenser and still have working AC, then no - not possible.

Just make sure to cap any open lines. The AC system does not like moisture - leaving it exposed to ambient air will cause components to rust internally and will be WAY more expensive to fix in the future
