So I just bought a hp 30 out of a 98 for 150. my question is are the wheel bearing (hubs) the same for the 2000 lp axle. It wasn't long ago I put new Timken s in my 2000 and would like to swap them. I think the early xjs were different. I know the shafts are the same and my Spartan will swap.Just would like to keep hubs. thanks

No, the hubs changed in the middle of the 99 run. If you put a mid 99 and later hub on an earlier model, the rim hits the caliper and the jeep will not move. I just went through the same problem. There is a post here http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/r...posite-835898/ with more information.
I'll be swapping in a HP30 into my 00 in a month or so. I'd recommend sell your LP parts & buy new Timkins for your HP. Match the year for correct parts. Brake rotors are also different. Cast/composite. I think they are interchangeable though.
