98 engin/trans swap to 96 Cherokee

98 engin/trans swap to 96 Cherokee
I have just replaced my 96 engine trans & transfer case with the same from a 98. Had to swap all engine sensors, on the 98 trans there are 2 sensors on the left front & rear. The 96 only has one on the left rear, the trans sifts from 1st to 4th, need help anybody got a solution.
