Just looking for some opinions on whether or not it is worth it to sell or repair & keep my Jeep and if I decide to sell...what a fair price would be...I don't want to take advantage of anyone or be taken advantage of.
KBB say around $2300 down the middle in fair condition private party in the state of CT. I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 2 door, 5 speed, 6 cyl, one owner, 124k original miles. Major issues: rear end axle needs repair / replacement and I believe the left and right side rocker panels are starting to rust through. Also, thoughts on how much to repair these two major items. Thank you for any information that you can provide to help me make some decisions here.

 

That seems low to me, if it was in good operating condition. That price in the midwest gets you rusted out rockers, floor pans and 250K miles. The 5 speed makes it more rare and usually very desirable. If you can find another good used rear end to put in, I'd start at $4K.
