its a laredo model grand, right?
full time 4x4 is ran through a viscous clutch trans case. works great but if you have different sized tires on it then its gone. get a wrangler transfer case from a late 80s early 90s and swap it out so you can choose the setting. i had one also, 93 grand cherokee with full time 4x4. great truck but it gave its life keeping the wife and i alive in a car accident so its in jeep heaven now.

Well finally getting time to check it out.The dash will show part time and full time 4wd...This mechanic has not returned my calls the last 2 days ..i wanted to ask him some of what all of you are asking me. I have never owned a cherokee before . other 4wd vehicles i owned i can immediatley tell if its in 4wd...if the same is true on this 93 GC i would have to say it does not seem like its in 4wd. I am however worried that my transfer case is toast....right now all tires are same size. ..Im about 30 miles east of Sacramento Calif...Have not lived out here very long...can anyone recommend a good mechanic in general ?
