Have a 2wd. now, (working on changing that)I've done alot of drag racing back when but not my thing is jeeps.
I've done a bit of fabrication in the past....a little history I guess.
So now i'm kinda doing the pre-runner thing maybe a sand toy for now.Was thinkin about 3-5" of lift on a budget. Starting on the back for now. So today I had some old chevy drop shackels (fit great) I put them on and the rear portion of the leaf is bending down now a bit....no more arch....it litfed it about 2 1/2" Is this normal for them to sag a bit...are my springs week?? I will be adding a 2-3" lift block to the rear also..(I'm making them....please comment...do you think they will serve their purpose) Was also thinkin of adding an extra leaf...

to be honest you dont wanna do blocks not safe for what your wanting to do i see alot of guys on here doing a relocation bracket thing it helps the leaf angle and rides alot better and will lift i think 2 inches maybe and it would not hurt to put in a leaf for extra lift! but i like the desert runner idea sounds sweet i have a buddy who has a ranger being built for that ! post pics up of your progress!

Well I was told my springs were doing that cause my front bushings..
So I thought well yeah may be I should have kept everything loose in the air and then thightend everything.........well so tonight I was going too loosin the front bushing and recenter things......oh no damn nut came loose off the inside of the frame....looks like im gunna have to cut a small access panel to get it loosin it..
I wish I could upload some pics.....
My plan is 5" or so in the rear and 4.5 or so in the front....
talkin about those lift blocks I do agree not a great idea but , what Im in the process of doing was/is I cut an old set of 2 1/4" springs,(right in the center so they match perfect, and the center hole is already drilled, Bonus) 3 of them are 5 in. long like a stock block and 2 of the center ones will be about 20 in long and I'll mount them to the factory springs up front to act as a traction style bar...total height is only like an 1 and 1/2.
The leafs are only 1/4 of an in thick each so my lift blocks wont be very tall. Thanks for the reply...
