Not everyone finds the GREAT deal, The guy wanted 2200 for my 91, I ended up trading a 98 dodge ram 1500 2wd and a 02 zx6r. Both needed work.
What matter is if its worth it to you, and what kinda deal are around. Some people think its worth the extra 500-1000$ to not wait a year for that one "deal"

You will always find somebody who will tell you they paid less than you did for their vehicle. I wouldn't let that bother you. It's an unfair comparison unless you're able to park them side-by-side at the time of purchase and compare their conditions exactly when they were bought.

Feeling some hostility from a few others regarding my last post.
Unappreciated, boys. I merely stated what I paid. And for a stock 19 year old vehicle, $2400 seems steep. Especially in a country where vehicles are much much cheaper than where I live.
I'm entitled to that opinion. You, however, aren't so entitled to assuming I was implying the vehicle isn't worth it, or that I intended to offend or upset anyone.
Just my 2 cents.

I think you're being too defensive and taking what I'm saying too personally, Rustie. I wasn't referring to your remark specifically... just remarking that I notice this phenomenon by a number of people and on different forums for different hobbies (I also restore classic arcade games and make beer.)
I'll use myself as an example: I paid $875 for my '99 Cherokee Sport. Sounds great, right?
Since buying it in September, I've bought new tires, rims, had to give it a complete tune-up, new cat-back exhaust, and some little odds and ends. I've probably spent an additional $1000 on all the parts and having the tires/rims installed professionally.
But what do I love to tell people? That I paid $875 for my '99 Jeep Cherokee...

I love telling people that I paid $1000 for an 18 year old vehicle with no mechanical issues whatsoever.
I've since put.... gas and new brakes and an $18 u-joint into it
There are always going to be people telling you that they paid less....because you can pay less, if you know where to look or how to haggle

The 91 looks pretty good for the money and if you want to mod it you'll have alot of money left over to mod with if you got it compaired to the price of the 99. And for anyone thats wondering...$200 for a 98 5-speed...
