has anyone taken the old grill and cut these inserts



Like the middle things between the huge grille holes, to kinda make it look like the 97 and up?

Never done it, but sounds like it would update the looks a bit. I would suggest putting something to protect the radiator and condenser.

I cut mine out and put plastic mesh there, but mines a '97.
