Default 75 cherokee dana 44 swap into 88?

Is it possible? I know the lugs are different, but is it worth it?

You will have to cut the spring perches off and weld on the control arm tabs and all that you need.If you got it cheap i would use it even with the lug pattern different.I wonder if this would work on it http://www.tntcustoms.com/fronttruss-wagoneerd4480.aspx

Front or rear? Rear would work but front is a passenger side drop. It will also have high gears, numerically low like 2.73, and would need to be swapped too.

Also I don't have my books with me at the moment but some early versions have an offset rear so the drive shaft would be at an odd angle and wear out u-joints really fast.

It is til you do the math with all the extras like control arm mounts, ends up being almost $600.

tnt does make a truss for any axle you could want to use so keep them in mind if you swap the front.
