5 dollar fogs
So I'm waitin on my girlfriend to get off work today, lookin for something to do to the Jeep, when I run across some driving lights. Now I normally wouldn't even consider purchasing lights from WallyWorld...but today was an exception. The Baja Blazer Rectangular Driving Light Kit, which usually sells for $23.98, only cost me $4.99. It is listed as 5 bucks online, so I ran up to Walmart, grabbed a box, and showed the cashier the online deal via my phone. He happily dropped the price and I went on my merry way. Install took longer than expected, because it's 30 degrees out and the garage is occupied. But I am now the proud owner of some cheapass lights. If you wanna snag some, here's the link. I may go back and buy a few more sets, possibly for underbody/rock lights or reverse lights.

I have these mounted on my bumper. They aren't terrible, but there is much better out there. Good deal for $5 though. I ran mine off of a relay and spliced it in to the factory switch.

I never had factory fogs. So I had to run all the provided wiring, which I upgraded all the connections with stuff I already had. They're not horrible lights really. But I may swap in some better 55w lamps and housings, such as Hellas.

I had a set of those last spring was going to use them for backup lights but they so crappy I took them off. In fact gave them to my GS for his XJ to bolt on the rack for something to do.

They have moved up to $15. Still not anywhere near the full price. I would still consider them worth 15 bucks. They seem to be working quite well in the cold fog of the night here in TN. They actually penetrate the fog better than my Sylvania Silverstars. More focused beam I think.

SHANREN®9X3Pcs 27W Round LED Work Light Lamp Off Road High Power ATV... from Amazon. I paid $12 for 1. Just wanted a cheap replacement light for my snowblower. I was impressed with the quality of something that cheap, and super bright

I'm just slightly wary of LEDs. I don't think I'd like the way they look with my Halogen headlights. Seeing as how I have a 2wd Jeep, really the only things going for it are its looks. And yes...I realize a colormatching lifted 2wd is a mallcrawler. I embrace it though. She's my daily, and hasn't let me down in the mud yet.

That's what I'm sayin. I used it a grand total of once with my TJ. So I dialed it back when I bought the XJ. Didn't feel the need. I caught plenty of flak about it over on JeepForum, so I swapped over to CF. Lovin it a lot more here. But anyways, back to the $5 fog talk.

In stores? Because I purchased mine in a store and showed the ad to the cashier. It said Out Of Stock Online earlier too.
