Default 4:10 gears at jy

Does anybody know of a junk yard in Colorado where you've seen a 4 cylinder 5 speed. Where I can get some 4:10s? I've got an 8.25 in the rear. How can I tell of it's maybe late 1996? I was wondering if possibly I have a 29 spline.

Google upap aurora and also Denver. They have a list of vehicles that you can search from. If want 4.10s you will need to be either lucky to find an xj with them already for a 8.25 or find a 4 cyl with a d44 which would be rare to find since xj people go to the jy all the time. You could also look into an 8.8 swap since they have 4.10 gears. There are a ton of explores in Colorado junk yards. Also check Craigslist for 8.25 axles too

8.8 swap cost me $130 with the ruffstuff swap kit (which is grade A beef)
and a flange adapter which is $30
so if you do all the welding yourself it's not too bad. but mine is drum brake if you have to rebuild the discs that can add up fast
my buddy is putting one in his TJ and he'll be into it for $600 before he can even gear and lock it
