Looks like a yota rear.....with 4.30 gears. I'm guessing the IFS is toyota derived since BAW also produces clones of old 4runners and other stuff too.

agreed! i really like the interior and some of the exterior updates too. if only they kept the right motor and suspention componants it would be great.

I think the problem with the motor and other drivetrain is that they were limited by production capability. The 2500 used a 8.25 rear with a 5x5 bolt pattern and matching front. I think they ran into supplier issues so they had to switch to something else, BAW makes clones of other stuff including toyota, so I think they switched to something they already used in more vehicles, makes sense when you think about it, though I don't think I am a huge fan on the IFS, it would be interesting to drive an IFS XJ once.
