Default 2001 XJ Limited... Good deal?

I found a 2001 limited with 94k miles. Looks clean. Completely stock. It's at a dealer who offers 90 days 3000 mile warranty. They were asking 10k though they will take $8500. Kbb has its value over $10000 however nada and edmunds are around $6500. I am not sure if its a deal?

For $8500 you could buy probably buy a XJ that someone put $15000 into

No way man. I got my 2001 for with 86,000 on it for like $3500 (actually $2500 cause we paid cash and we had to fix something)

That's way to high...

While that's unusual, I got a 99 last summer with 93k miles that needed 2k worth of work retail. Paid 2600 put about 1400 into it with tires

As always, it depends on your location! Responses to these posts tend to frustrate me with all the "I got mine for $200 and a six pack." Cherokees here in the California central valley are hard to find, and when you do find one, they're expensive.

I would recommend checking other Craigslist adds to see what they're selling for in your area and try to make a good, informed decision.
