2000 XJ With a 4.5 inch lift and 30-31 inch tire mpg
I want to know what mpg you xj owners are getting with and exact setup like this or very close if your runnig 35 inch tires please dont post your mpg i only want to what people are getting running 30-31inch tire

the 4.5" won't really effect your mileage, tire size will though. I'm on 31's and get about 17-18 mpg average.

^same. I see these posts all the time and wonder why are you worried about mpg when you own a cherokee. Dont meen to be an ***, it just seems like if you own and modify one of this things you should expect ****ty mpg.

I do expect crappy mileage but not 13.5 mpg. I think mine can be improved to atleast 16, 18-19 if i go from 32's to 31's

1 less inch of tire is not going to make 4 or 5 mpg difference...

when my xj was my dd it had 31 inch allterrains on it with the stock 3.55 gears and i was getting about 13 in town and 14-15 on the highway. regear and youll be in a different world.

i comptely agree i know jeeps dont get prius type mpg but im getting 168-185miles a tank i would say my mpg is already bad and i have no idea why mabie my foot is a little heavy..also im in highschool with no job so this is killing me my 250$ a month i get from child support

Im having the same problem, i just put a 4.5 inch zone lift with 33x12.5x15 at tires on it and goes about 180 miles before the light comes on. should i drop down to 31'' or regear. plus im getting a lot of popping and grinding noise from the rear. ive been told i need to relink the drive shaft or get a sye. thoughts?
