I gotta say 4-dr. I love my 4-dr XJ, simply because its my DD mainly and easy to pile friends and crap in and take off somewhere. HOWEVER, when I build my strictly off-road XJ, totally 2-dr so I can chop it lol

2-door does always win. However, I attribute this to 2-door fans being more vocal.
Personally, I like 4-doors for access. Although, anyone that uses the rear doors that are over 4 feet tall may agree that the door might as well not be there. HA!

I LOVE 2 DOOR XJ's!!!! HAHA
...for me a 2 door is way more practical for me. And you can do more to a 2 door as far as trim the fenders and what not. They also look more rugged.
To me, the 4 door is more of a family XJ. But that's only me...

Yea 4-Doors are more like a family ride, but... roll up in the woods in a 4-Door XJ and go better and further then your buddies in all their Yota's, its like pullin up to a street race in grandma's 4-door grocery getter' and strippin' everyones ****! lol..
I, myself care nothing for the doorless thing, yea im gonna build me a set of exo doors, but its gonna be for during the summer time on the street. Im too fond of not killing my interior with mud and too be able to roll my window up and having cold blow..

Lets not forget the cold, hard facts that 4-door owners are better looking, and better people than 2's. I also find that they wheel better, go faster, crawl better, flex more, and get better MPG.
Clearly kiddin - they are all XJ's/Jeeps, and I would proudly roll in either.

^ Same here, I do own and prefer a 4-door, but because it is way more convenient that way when I take my friends for a ride.
Any XJ, 2-door or 4-door, is the best there is.

Thats the reason I bought a 2 door. My friends used to always complain about how getting in the back of my 4 door sucked, now with the two door they dont even try getting in. It saves a ton on gas having them drive. Haha.
I would roll with either but i love my 4 door. And it does look good with the doors off. Plus the wood grain would look weird with only 2 doors. lol

All I've owned are 4 doors, but I voted 2 door.
1 - they seem to be more rare.
2 - They do look better doorless, period. A 4 door looks like a bombed out whip from Pakistan honestly, and I've owned a few doorless 4 doors myself.
3 - I'm the driver, so I really couldn't care less about passenger comfort, but myself trying to get into the rear of a 4 door is laughable, and I'm not a big guy.
But, there seems to be a larger aftermarket following exterior wise for 4 doors, so it's all good.

They look pretty much the same to me. I don't think one looks more agressive than the other. But for practicality, I like my 4 door better. I can put items in the back seat easily if I don't feel like putting it the cargo area. It is easier to have passengers with a 4 door. It may be tight getting in and out, but it's much tighter having to climb into the back seat of a 2 door.
Also, I think all Cherokees look strange without doors. Just not my style I guess.

I just like the fact that they are the ones who have to struggle to get in and I don't have to move an inch in my 4-door.

I gotta say 2 door all day. I think they're more rare (at least where i'm at) and they look way cooler lifted. Especially with a wagoneer front clip on it
