Default 2.5L and 31's?

I'm lookin into a Cherokee it has a 4 cylinder and 5 speed stick 2 door. I have 2 questions, it has 215's on it now and there pretty tight, I think 235's will be the max amount of tire. So will a 3" lift fit 31's?cause this seems to sit lower then others. Question 2, will the little motor handle 31's for a daily driver?

You'll need to regear your axles, or swap in axles with the correct ratio.

The 4 cylinder is simply gutless and doesn't perform well in a 4k Lb rig. Add bigger rubber and you compound the issue.

my dads 4 cylinder manual 2dr wrangler has 30'' mud tires and it does fine, i think 31s would do ok. but anything up would be pushing it.
