Can I put a body lift on my 99 Jeep Cherokee SE? I know you cant put it on a the XJ because of the one frame thing but im almost 17 and I want to get a lift so i want to know if the SE is any different.

all xj's use the same unibody setup. no body lift is capable.

 

So that means the SE is no different from the XJ?

 

The SE is a trim package. Such as Limited, Base, yadda yadda. Nothing special really. Still an XJ

Not possible. Suspension only. If your wanting a small lift (2" or so) look into a Budget boost (Coil spacers/shackles)

 

Im thinking about getting a 4in Suspension Lift then, what brand do you suggest thats not so expensive?

 

No true Cherokee with the XJ designation can be body lifted. The last capable of a body lift were the FSJs produced in the 70s as far as I know.

 

just to clarify for the OP, XJ is the body model of the cherokee, SE is the trim level
