1998 synthetic oil

Just got a 98 cherokee classic today from family, fantastic shape. . Put Royal Purple 10-30
Notice the oil pressure gage fluctuates is this normal?

If it goes below 10 or up to 80, then you need to worry.

As for right now, you have normal oil pressure.
