Hello. My daughter just bought her first car. Yes with all the money she saved since she was little. It is a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 74,000 miles. It was owned by a doctor who only drove it to work on bad weather days and never was off road.

I used to own a 1991 Cherokee Limited. I told her how great the car was and how I put 247,000 miles on it before I gave it to a needy friend.

Problem: The ride sucks and is nothing like my 1991. The shocks look rather cheep and have around 50,000 mile on them according to the seller. The Jeep floats and seems unstable. Not dangerous but just nothing like the ride and stability of the 1991 limited.

A local mechanic "checked" the shocks and said they appear to be fine and that this is how the sports of this year ride.

I would like to help her out and ease my mind by fixing this but do not know where to turn.

She is not interested in a lift or a stiff uncomfortable ride.

Well depending on what you want to spend, I think old man emu ride very nice. You can get stock size ones

Ionia you said not interested in a lift but you could go with a small one and you'd get new shocks and coils and leafs, Itd ride alot better.

Well it is a jeep. They not comfortable to begin with
