1995 3" lift 31" tires
I have a stock 95 XJ and am thinking of getting a 3" rustys lift and 31" tires. The thing is that my jeep seems to set lower then others. It may just be me but it looks like it sets really low. As far as I know everything on it is stock. It did used to be a WV state police jeep, I thought maybe they order them with lower suspension for better street performance. I also didn't know if it was something with that paticular year that they set lower. I know it has a AW4, NP231, 30/35, and I6. Right now it has 245/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler tires that measure exactly 28"s and they REALLY fill up the wheel wells. I'm worried that if I do 31"s and 3"s the tires will be to big.
Does anyone have a picture of a '95 with 3" lift and 31" tires?

I'm going to guess it's lower because the suspension components, springs and the like, are worn out. When you get your kit, may I suggest spending the extra dough to get a full rear leaf pack, and not just an add-a-leaf?

My 90 had sagged rear springs really bad, looked like I was always riding a wheely, and I bottomed out all the time. When I ordered my lift I made sure to get a full pack of replacement springs.

The kit I'm going with has new coils and leaf packs so that should fix the sagging situation.
The main reason I was wanting to see a '95 with the 3" lift and 31' tires was because I've seen pictures of different year XJ's with 3" lift and 31's and it seems like they all look different. Some seem to have more room around the tire then others.

Well it really depends on the quality of the lift and how long its been on and the amount of miles used. That usually attributes to why you see many different ones with the same lift and tires but it seems different

And trimmed fenders on alot of em too. The body didn't really change much before 97.

The other day I saw a XJ that was extremely low looked like no suspension whatsoever and when the driver got out i nearly died laughing it was a really old lady with a walker and she had what i was guess to be her sons who looked like they had never left the house and had also never even had a girlfriend lol and they moved so slowly. it took them like 5 minutes to walk across the parking lot. sorry for the rambling lol just felt like saying that little story
Anyways it sat so low, yet my friends virtually stock XJ has no lift but looks like it sits so much higher so i guess it just depends on the condition of the suspension
