1991 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Axle Choices

I am looking at buying a 1991 Cherokee 4x4, Where there different types of axles, stock??? I think it is a Dana 30 front and a Dana 35 rear, am I right???

30 front and 35 or Chryco 8.25 (stronger) in rear...Tj

if it looks like a sideways egg (oval shape) then it is a dana 35 and you don't want it, they suck. the 8.23 has a flat bottom and is by far stronger and superior to the Dana 35. all jeep Cherokee XJ come with a dana 30 high pinion except 2000-2001 they come with a low pinion
