00, 331 head,hidden water leak
might have found good news about my slow leak discussed earlier.
while struggling with small rusty bolts holding my bad e fan i had to move the overflow hose from the rad,.
when i put it back i saw the drip hidden out of normal sight. could not stop it even though the hose looked perfect. i cut an inch and plugged it on . leak stopped! i could see signs that it leaked for a good while.
oil looks good.
ill call blackstone and ask about what they found??
"slap" still there.
btw it took vice grips to remove those 2 bolts!

i mentioned b 4 that since it has the 331 and piston slap i think, i will just run it till it dies. im not going to do a complete rebuild, top and bottom, but buy a reman when needed. it may go ? another 100?!!
btw im getting a new e fan in the morn. its open but i get no 12v to the conn. got to trace that out tomorrow, fuses good, relay?
it got a little warmer today so im being careful,no driving in this weather till i get the fan running.
