For a long time, I've had an idea for the doors on my ZJ. I'm going to purchase one door and try it out.....

Cut away all of the insides of the door, so all you have left is the outer sheet metal. Weld on some hinges that would enable you to lift the door off, come up with a simple handle (like soft door handles), and (the tricky part), plexiglass windows.

Sound like a good idea?

4 bolts, disconnect the wiring harness and lift off. Simple and you lose nothing.Rear doors are more difficult though.
