Yet Another Roof Rack w/ mounts
Except for in my case mines a WHOLE lot cheaper than most peoples.
So here's where I'm at right now: (all of my prices are rounded)
6 pieces EMT tubing - $12
1 thing of chicken wire- $4
2' x 3' 1/8 sheet metal - $6
4 1.5" C clap rings - $6
Misc bolts - $2
So right now I'm only about $20 into this and about 4 hours (my dad,,in picture below helped out in the last hour so it started to actually really move)...i had some of that stuff laying around..So im sure you could get all of this stuff for under $30/40
Heres a few pictures of where I'm at..I'll post some more and some detas when I get home after all of the family time im about to have

I'm anxious to see the rack's progress. I'm glad someone else out there is trying to stick weld conduit. I'm not a good welder but I built my rack all using a stick welder. It's looking good so far. Hope them brackets will hold good. They look a bit thin Keep up the building! Good luck

well as you can see I got rid of my other mounts.. And I got a rubber bumper stop and 1"x1" square tubing, and bolted though them and the roof; it too some big peices of sheet metal. (as not the get the rack ripped out)
The rubber bumpers are too stop any vibration, and the tubing is too raise up the roof...Personally for less than 30 bucks all said and done and i cant complain. I just need to paint those bumbers black, so you cant see them. Its strong as hell, I hung off the side of it and it didnt move at all. (I'm 6'2" 165)
Feel free to steal, or ask questions!

Looks great man! Any plans to mount up a spare tire or anything to it? I'm anxious to see the lights on it. I have 4 plain ol' driving lights on mine but hopefully soon to get KC spots. What are the dimensions of the rack? I'm wondering how long you made it. Mine is exactly 6 foot but I've seen smaller that looked nice! Good work, keep it up!

Well heres some mounting pictures, you cant beat 6 lights for under 20 bucks at harbor..The wiring is REALLY ghetto fab'd because I wanted it done for tomorrow when I go camping.
Ill Fix it some other time, I wired it down the rain rails and next to windshield and into the bay..its pretty well hidden other than two wires..
Edit: you can see where I dropped it messed up the front end up by the lights..And dont judge i still need to bedliner it but the areas that are all jacked up looking is where I used alum tape on it to hold it all in place,,and then I was just like screw it and left it. haha

Its not by any means a $700 rack. I mean i'm into it less than 40 bucks; Its not too bad, I guess..I used this weekend wile camping and I actually used it and the lights a lot, theyre pretty bright too
