winch bumper opinion
well here is the story, I built this bumper and cant decide weather or not to plate the sides in or not so let me know what you think?

First, Nice looking bumper!
If you decide to plate in the bottom of the sides you could always try and mount some lights facing down as in the "rock lights" made in other bumpers. Thats an option. Also you could plate the bottom and top of the sides and put lights on both.
Either way I think it looks good and being home made, even better!

well thanks, i got a lot of grinding ahead me and i might add a hoop and i will defiantly add lights i just cant choose between plating out the sides and the bottom. thanks for the suggestion

I think it'd be worth the effort for a lil more strength in the front. you never know what could go through the open holes and screw stuff up and then its too late and your pissed you didn't just do it in the first place.

well if fabbin is easy for you then just go for it. if its not you know put in on and wait and see if you wanna do it. I would do it if it was my bumper just cause I've had stuff go through a radiator before on a trail and it sucks. and my tranny cooler.

this may be stupid but what about plating it from the inside of the tube well atleast on the front side guess not so much on the top side kinda something similar to or-fabs rear idk sorry to be so choppy just an idea i thought of as soon as i saw it

I would do it. It'll add strength to the bumper, and from the looks of your welds it seems as though it needs it on those corner pieces.
