I made this intake and the box to keep heat off of it about 3 days ago. What do you think?

is that alumnum foil and cardboard or insulation?

you need to fill in all the holes in the fender or water and mud will get thrue

buddy had a old 5.0 mustang that had the filter in the fender well....and i mean the whole thing

like the intake......since you allready mad the box out of cardboard take it out and use the cardboard as a templet,get some sheetmetal and some rivets and put it together dont do it halfway Its a great idea just take it a lil further good luck

Agreed. Some thin sheet from lowe's or home depot would be good for that

I dont see the issue with cardboard and heat tape. It might not hold up as well but it will work to keep hot engine air away from it.

Although your name is Mud Digger which makes me think you see mud and water alot and this probably isnt the best setup to keep water out of your intake. True CAI in the cowl?

Hey I like the design of the box.

If it where me I would template it and make an aluminum version out of sheet then dynomat the inside to insulate against engine heat. Plus brushed finished and polished aluminum....mmMMmmm
