I'm pulling it. It boogers up when I start the weld, I think I might be starting to fast then go too slow maybe. I'll try goin faster when I practice tomorrow. Thanks!

Also might try turning the wire speed down a touch looks like you may be depositing too much weld metal in the joint for the heat you are running you really shouldn't have that large of a crown on the weld face

I tried it at a slower speed and it didn't feel or sound right. I think it's just me goin a bit too slow. But when I go faster I always seem to lose the pool. I've only been welding for 2 days so I'm not real consistent. What would be the best technique for flux core? I've been trying c's and circles

How far should I space the e's out? I've read somewhere that it should be half an inch but haven't tried it yet and it seems kind of far

Lower case e's and try pushing the puddle rather than pulling. A little easier to see the puddle, and the best thing for getting a good bead laid down? Time under the hood, baby...perfect makes practice

I like pulling more than pushing, although I haven't tried pushing that much. I'm left handed so I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I've only been welding for 2 days but I've practiced for about an hour and a half each day

They're both good to know, just give it a try. I had a teacher once tell me, there is no cheating in welding. A good bead is a good bead. Doesn't matter how you get there.

Will do. All of my welds have held up to the bfh test so they're solid (or seem to be), but I need to make them all the way through
