It looks as it your just dragging the gun along like a flux core machine. On mig I like weave/circles, gets some more penetration and will tie in a lot better. Im not in the welding program, but after my first week in a fundamentals class, my teacher was trying to get me to join it and even trying to get me scholarships.

It happened when I first started or if im doing a really long weld. First week of learning I went through 2 pair of gloves, theyre so useless when you can use half of your fingers

I bought TIG gloves at first. But they are so thin I quickly started using my MIG gloves. It helps a little more. I thought about using stick welding gloves for the torch hand and then maybe the TIG glove for the filler rod hand. But never tried. Probably too thick to be able to manipulate the torch like I'd want.

I had a buddy throw a mig glove over his tig grove on the torch hand, said it was great. I always used mig gloves, as thats what I primarily used. Never actually used tig gloves, I bet the tighter/thinner fit would be amazing. My issue was I was using those last 2 or 3 fingers as a guide/brace, iv'e learned to keep those fingers tucked lol

That could be a good thing to try! I do like the TIG gloves. You can feel things better. But when they get hot, since they for right, it's gets hot fast and I found I couldn't take them off fast enough lol. Yeah keeping the fingers tucked is important for avoiding burns lol I found out also. Hah

Nice, be careful using water on the glove and then using the TIG. I've been shocked through my filler rod hand through the gloves. It wasn't bad. Just a tingle sensation. Lol and mine wasn't wet.

Hehe, I've never been shocked because the water, but once I did get shocked, I was tigging aluminum, so no gloves and I braced up once I hit the petal. ZAP! haha IDK what happened, tried again and no shock lol
