How heavy are you guys custom fab'd bumpers? Ive got some fork extenders layin here that are 5 1/4" wide and 5/16" thick i was seriously thinkin on building mine out of.. They are heavy but yet it'd be hard to dent em or rip em apart. Yea id like to build me some nice tube bumpers with a bull bar but dont have the tools for the binding and notching.. So what do you guys think? This material i got be too heavy?

I built mine out of 2X5 its .25in wall and its a beast.... I had to have a friend help me put it on.... I feel sorry for whatever I hit. I reinforced the frame mounts so if I hit anything I will either destroy it or bend my cherokee at the firewall cause this bumper isn't flexing. Its not over kill, I'm just making sure when I'm stuck theres something solid to hook to!
