The only down side to this, is that I have to remove the bumper to swap out receivers. Which is no big deal cause i only plan on using that receiver as a recovery point. Throw a d-ring receiver in there and slap the bumper back on and thats it.
Great design and fab job. Could you drill a vertical hole in the receiver and bumper shell and use a long pin inserted from the bottom with a clip on top? It should not matter for your ring if it is vertical or horizontal for recovery.

I decided to come up with a spring loaded hitch pin to make the receiver removal-able without removing the bumper,..

Used a 5/8in by 6in long hitch pin i picked up from a Master Truck and Trailer(they are awesome! totally recommend them! Also got the hitch receiver piece from them too) Some 3/4in conduit for the pin guide, some random springs from Ace hardware, a zip tie, and some nylon rope i had, and a caribeaner(sp).

Wrapped the nylon rope in some electrical tape to help avoid chaffing and cutting the nylon.

Attached the caribeaner(sp) to the end and clipped it to a fender support bracket.

Overall it works pretty well.

The d-ring receiver I used. $32 I think also, from master truck and trailer.

you also could use the hitch tow hook from harbor freight, i think its about 12 bucks, i have one in my rear hitch, really comes in handy as i dont have any tow points back there, just saying cause maybe you would like a hook too
