Cool

Yea, that's Cotton. My car is very similar, the nose is different and I have done a lot more the the chassis then they did. I know most people think 1-1/2 is small but most of the racers build with it. It just depends on what your doing with it.

Just make sure that you get it welded properly. The last thing you want is something to break if you were ever to roll it.

you may be right...wasnt thinking about the wheels/tires (damn retreads are heavy!). im probably sitting right around 4...with the dash, ac/heat, 2 front doors, rear bumper, and interior gone (thats just the big stuff). does it cost anything to get it weighed? you have me interested now...

I had my setup weighed at a rock place where trucks come in to load gravel. They were certified scales. It was like 5 bucks. I did it mostly to make sure I wasnt overloading my trailer. All told my tow rig with gear, trailer and rig tipped the scale a touch over 13500. It definately weighed more then I thought.

find a couple pieces of steel and run to your local scrap yard... jump up on the scales, unload, and jump back on. your receipt will tell you your weight.
