Cool roof chicken lights

thinking about putting some "chicken light" on my jeep. just curious if anyone has these already installed. toss some pictures up here to give me ideas please. maybe tips on wiring them up too

Dude, dont sweat it. I've lived and the deep dirty south my whole life and still had no clue what the hell chicken lights were till now lol

Now by chicken lights, do you mean like what comes on the roof of diesels and other HD trucks? Because im pretty sure some Comanche's with the metric ton package came with them. But other than that, i would just rob a set off of an old Cummins. Drill them to the roof, run the lights down the A pillar and through the firewall to your parking lights or just run them to the parking lights in the rear. Just make sure to silicone any holes you make in the roof to prevent rusting and eliminate any leaks

If this is what you're talking about, O.P. (I call them cab lights...) I've got a row on top of my XJ and they were pulled directly from an '05 Cummins. Fits the roof line perfectly, and used RTV gasket maker in copious amounts to seal them off. Ran the wire down the a-pillar just like the above post mentions. Just takes some drillin.

I think technically they are called "clearance lights" but here in the deep dirty south we call em chicken lights!

We always called them marker lights. I was always told they give your spotter and mark to go by on a low overhang.
