Wish I had time! It was all I could do to get these done and my bumper started (trying to juggle work and keep up with a 2-year old takes most of my time...).

Thanks - the bolts are self-tappers. I have used them in the past and they have held up well. If I ever decide to add some stiffeners to the unirails I'll weld them at that point, but for now the self-tappers should be sufficient for the wheeling I do (they've already been tested...).

Those look great, simple and they protect. I would weld those mounts sooner than later or at least find a way to get high strength bolts, it may be fine for now but that's only until it isn't.

I used the same bolts to attach the rockers on my TJ - four up front, four in the rear, with the rails attached at the center body mount (Turbo City rockers - bought them before I started building my own stuff). They held up to extensive abuse without ever coming loose. The only problem I had was from over-tightening them, and I learned my lession quick on that.

To clarify how the XJ rockers attach: each side has four self-tapping bolts at the front leg, two at the rear with an additional 1/2" grade 8 bolt to the front leaf spring hanger. Plus, there are 10 1/4" grade 8 bolts attaching the entire length of the rocker pinch weld. I'm pretty sure they aren't going anywhere. The XJ will not see near the abuse the TJ did, so even with the thinner wall of the "frame" rails they should hold up just fine.
