The way the rear sway bar is made is much different than the front, there are no actual sway bar links.
im sure it is possible to engineer some kind of system that disconnects it, but i dont know if one exists

lol i guess but wen my jeep was lifted three in. it would flex out with the rear sway bar. it didnt affect it till i went up to six in. so i took it out and didnt notice any on road handling differences at all. i still have my front sway bar with quick discos though

well ive somewhat came up with an idea. i am lifting it re3.5 coming 2 16. i saw how someonemade front discos. i am going to use a set of front connectors. and weld them together and have pins to remove via the pin or a shaft pin. threw the center. need to further research and draw up a plan

i might try it disconnected for a while. i just remember when i had an 04 ranger without a rear sway it suked cornering after a sway was added it was awesome. just dont want a huge amount of body roll.

rangers have a torsion bar front end which wont pick up the slop from a missing rear sway bar, unlike a jeep which has a front sway bar to pick that slop up.

take the rear sway off, its pointless. just did a 4.5 lift on mine and removed the rear sway. kept the front with some homebrew discos, its awesome. i drive mine everyday to my job rather than starting up my diesel truck for the commute. As a daily driver it feels as sure footed now as it did before the lift with both sway bars.

the ranger did have a front swaybar the torsion bar was just the springs.
