Default Rear storage box

Made this for all my gear while I am out hunting. I hate leaving tools and what not in the back where people can see. This will get padlocks to keep everything safe. It also has a "hidden compartment" behind the seat that I will lock and keep my guns or more valuable items in. The table slides out from underneath and makes a nice little workbench.

Looks good man, what'd you use for a track on the drawer, and does it feel strong enough? Also what's with your weird double receiver setup?

Honestly, I wish I would have gone beefier with the track. It it probably strong enough but I can replace it if I need to. I have two receivers so I can have my little trailer and use a bike rack. Or leave my hitch in with my bike rack on.

I like the work bench idea. Is the whole box mounted to the floor somehow?

It is built on a 2x4 frame, and that has 4 screws on either side holding it down.

Looks slick. What holds the drawer closed? Might wanna consider drilling a couple holes along the top that alight with the sides of the drawer, then you can just drop a long bolt in on each side to hold it closed... just a thought, otherwise cool!

That's a pretty slick set up. I like the idea of the slide out work table. I might have to steal that idea when I build mine. That would be so handy while camping. Great work

--- Well the it kind of just bangs in and out right now. I like your idea, and was thinking of doing something like that. I also Want to put a big latch on the front or both sides for padlocks, while my jeep is sitting all alone in the woods.

---Thanks! Ya after building it I realized it would be great for sighting in a rifle as well. My camping chairs are just the right height for that. It will mostly be a snack table for when I we are hanging out in the woods.

--- You read my mind sir. I was looking at the VIAIR setups. I am thinking of putting together a setup. I am still researching all the parts I am going to need, and what size tank and compressor would work best for me.

I was tossin around an idea about the way motor homes work they have this box that when your jeeps main battery is done chagrin a 12volt solenoid switches powers on an charges the 2nd battery, also it works backwards when using the power of the 2nd battery the switch will kill the power if the main drops from fully charged. So drive around battery charged switches to 2nd battery an charges then maybe a converter to charge power tool battery.

How did you lock the part behind the seat?
