I have I think about $600.00 total in materials including the latch and painting. When I started this, I decided to add a $400 plasma cutter and a $70 sandblaster to my tool collection. I started this project a couple of years ago and I decided I needed to get this project finished. I probably have about 30-40 hours into it. I am too busy to build these to sell though.

Most of the steel is 3/16. I had the main part of the bumper bent which cost me almost $200 inc. the steel. The only thing I would do different is on the spare tire carrier, I should have used 2x2 square tubing because when I latch the carrier, it jiggles a little. If it bothers me too much I will cut it off & rebuild it which would not be too bad to do. The pivot is a trailer axle stub shaft with bearings and a seal. Also I mocked up my bumper with cardboard to get all of the dimensions close. Cardboard is easier and cheaper to cut if you make a mistake. To get the bend in the bumper the way I wanted I just cut the cardboard 1/2 through so I could bend it then use tape to get my angles. I had to do this because of the positon of the pivot the clearance of the gate.
By the way thank you all for your comments.

31x10.50x15 The spare is like new but the other 4 are about worn out. I should have kept that one in the rotation but since it was on the roof, I was a little lazy. Great tires but kinda wore out fast. They are the 1st run of Revo's. I hear the Revo II wears better than the old ones. Overall I did like the tires.
