Rear bumper/ receiver hitch
So i bought a universal receiver hitch to put on my 1992 Jeep Cherokee laredo and i ran into a little bit of a problem. The frame doesnt look much more than slightly thicker sheet metal than the body panels. I REALLY dont think that the frame will hold up to a receiver hitch and a trailer of any size with any kind of load. So my next solution would be to build a bumper with a hitch built into it, but i still have the same worry about the frame. Anyone know of a good way to prevent shredding my frame? or is it stronger than it looks? (we have a 18 foot boat that i was going to attempt to pull until i found this out)

Well... The factory installed Class III hitches, so... Im sure its fine. I have a Class IV on mine and have pulled a trailer full of trash for my dump loads several times with no problems. If it wasn't strong enough, I'm sure the factory wouldn't have used it.
