Alright, I started this probably 4-5 months ago but I'm finally getting around to finishing it. Will post more pics as I get more done. Material is 2x4x1/4 tube, 1/4" plate, 3/16th flat stock for frame tie ins, and 3/4" d-ring tabs. I just recently got around to cutting off my rear lower quarters so I'm gonna add some tube going forward off the bumper to protect that area as well. Please excuse my mess of a desk. Mounting bracket:

Multiply that by 2 and drill/weld nuts in for the frame:

Welded bumper section on and added some paint

More primer

D ring tabs and hitch, finally getting functional (tabs were welded by my dad. I didn't feel confident welding something like that at the time)

I was gonna add one gusset to the top of it from the back side. I've got a piece of round steel rod bent to weld on to hold chains, I figured that would be enough side to side reinforcement, or should i do gussets on each side as well?
Edit: heres a model of a design I made way back so slightly different design. I scrapped the idea of using plate for the chain thing 'cause it'd be too much work so should I do the top gusset, or the sides too?

P.S. I think I might have come to a conclusion on my own, I think I'll do two gussets, 45 degrees off the corners on the hitch tube. That should make it pretty solid. Did a quick 3d:
