Default power inverter installed

I posted about installing a power inverter with outlets a while ago. Just wanted to show you the progress i have made.

Im using a Cobra 2550 inverter 2500 watt with 5000 watt peak. Installed 2 outlets in the center console.

not a bad idea. im assuming you have to have the truck running to use that puppy? also did you atleast tape up the terminals of those receptacles? dont want anyone getting an accidental poke.

The wires feed inside of the outlet but i did put some over the screws yes. For low powered devices it will run just fine with the jeep off. But if i run bigger things i will indeed start it up. I have it on its own battery as well running dual optima yellow top batterys. I used a 2 ga wire with a 100a fuse. Over all its great. Main useage. Running minior house hold devices, projector for movies when on trailing at night. Also plan installing a aircompressor as well so i can use my air tool on the trail.

something to think about...

volts x amps = watts

12v x 100a limits your inverters output to 1200watts

I have it on its own battery as well running dual optima yellow top batterys.
with multiple batteries it is important to make sure they are the same type and age, otherwise they will die prematurely. if the optimas are the same age, put in a battery isolator to protect them.
