i have to agree drilling the head of the axe probably wasnt the BEST idea. one good smack on something really solid it wont be long before it starts to send stress fractures and possibly eventually crack. but that could be forever down the road....


thing looks freaking sick though

Metal cost 51$ shovel and axe 30$ and 25$ in welding mats, 20$ in bedliner, 125$ but if u price racks, 500+$ some around 1k

That's cool, thought maybe someone could walk up and use it as a universal key. I guess if it's mounted tight enough it's all good.

we will see, not really worried, and if someone wants to break my window they can use more then my axe :0. oh and its not my dd so it does not see the street much , more then the ocasional trip to the store and work when im bored

It is. I park it in the garage too. Never outside. It's also not a DD.

Rack looks sweet man. i really like how you mounted the axe and shovel. pretty ingenious. I am thinking of putting a mount on mine for my axe as well but haven't decided yet.

I like it..How did you mount it to the roof? I might do something like that.. Maybe mount a Hi-lift on the other side.

Hi Lift is going on other side, it mounts to factory rack with mounts, 6 to be exact
