Default My EMT Roof Rack

Here is the rack I have been working on. Finally got it mounted. Still have to paint and clean up a few things.

Made this up from 1/2 inch tubing. Will add more build pics later

It turned out looking taller than I thought it would, but for the money, I can always build another.

I have less than $20 in it.

IMO it looks kinda flimsy . . how did you go about mounting it to the roof? and what do you plan on carrying in it? but props for building it yourself!

Here is my EMT Rack. I didn't want a super tall one and I used 3/4 conduit so it is a little more stiff. There is more info on it in my build thread.

Dont really have plans to carry much of anything in it but it is stronger than you think.

I agree that 3/4" would have been better and I will probably build another at some point in time.

This was an expiriment to see if I could do it.

I didnt like the height at first but after having it on a few days it is growing on me.

New baby and snow has put the hold on getting it painted and finished. Hope to cure that this weekend.

Yep!, Plus when you have some left over from wiring your shop it makes for some inexpensive building material.

What did you use to mount it to the roof, and where can I get them?
