lower control arm mounts - upper and lower reinforcement

has anyone done this type of work before and if so can you share photos? I am finding that the upper mounts to my lower control arms are getting cracks and are disforming a bit and would like to weld on reinforcements to beef it up. My initial thoughts are to cut a few pieces of metal and weld them up against the buckets and also against the unibody but thought i would check with you guys first.

I was not sure where the best place to post this but I figure you guys are the ones most likely to done this before.

Look up on Google.. Jeep Cherokee xj..lower control arm skids.. Im not sure if they make any skids for the upper lower control arm mount.

You might have to fab something up.. Maybe use a skid for the bottom mount and make it work for the top mount somehow.
