Picked up my first welder the other day and decided to start this project. Not in these pics but just finished welding in the class 3 reciever and started cutting up the metal for under the rear quarter panels. Got all the metal for free too! Everythings custom by me.

I dont know what latched was used, but I will ask the guy who built it for me and let you know. if I had it done again I would have added more bracing the tire bounces a little.

the strut does help when you open it, the swing out doesnt swing all the way around and hit the body. I does help stay open but I wouldnt just push it open it will bang (max the strut out) and it will break the eyelet on the strut. just dont ask me how i know.

I have had my eye on the C-rok rear bumper for a year now it is SO nice ! But Its pricey, and 500$ isnt realy in the budget. I want to make one that will look nice, be solid as heck, and bounce off rocks well
