Default Hudfab JK bumper

I know not an xj, but its still a jeep

I just fabbed up this JK bumper for a local customer.

Came in looking like this...

Left looking like this...

Customer also wanted a sway bar disco motor skid plate. I just got a CNC press brake, so I figured I would give it a shot.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any questions on the build, please ask away!!

Thanks! Most JK bumpers are designed with the fairlead on the front, with the winch tucked inside. I did suggest a synthetic rope and aluminum hawse fairlead to suck it in further.

Thanks bro! If we wheel together this summer, you will most likely see it. I wheel with him often. He will prob be at the Hudfab m&g.

You should talk your customer into letting you cut the silly "chin bar" off the frame rails and flipping the e-disco motor up and out of the way, cleaning up a good 3-4" of clearance...

Thanks for the advise! I really dont work on JKs much, so I didnt know about that mod. Good to know!

I honestly dont think he would have been ok with me chopping the crossmember off of his jeep that has less than 10k miles!

It sounds bad, but it's really not a structural crossmember. It's there for crash safety, essentially to keep lower vehicles from running completely underneath you in a head-on or rear-end collision situation... Granted an insurance company may take issue with it if the worst were to happen, but I'd bet there are more JK's running around with it removed than anyone even knows. I know both of mine are gone
