Hood Vent Covers
I have vents in my hood and got to thinking today.. With this winter coming up, Why not make some removable covers for the vents? That way i can cover them up and keep my under hood temps up on the really chilly days.
template
works as a cap that fits snug over top of the vent
1st one finished
this is how i hold them down. its 8/32 threaded rod. 2 nuts on the inside of vent, 1 on the outside (to hold the post in place in the vents), and then a nylon locking wing nut to hold the cover down.
i did get both of them finished but after the paint dried it was too dark for pictures so tomorrow morning i'm going to throw them on and get another picture.
