What are you using to grind the welds down, looks real clean. Also do you have to buy the steel in bulk from Benco? Im looking for a good local supplier that I can get just what I need since I live in Charlotte.

just pickup some black wire loom and encase your lead wires in there.... where are you planning on having the lead wires run into the cab??? out back at the gate seam or drilling a hole and sealing it after???

Thank y'all for the support. It was a very long project. Took me and my pops around 5 weeks to finish it. Of course working on it on and off. But the tire mount is the last addition to the rack. For the lights I was planning on running the wire through the hack lift gate and into the cab. Y'all got any other suggestions .....

looks very similar to one i built.
I can tell you take your time and take pride in your work. I also like your bottom gutter guards alot and im thinking of putting some on the one im building now. thanks for sharing and thanks for the ideas!

I love it, other than when getting around 50 mph it starts to hum, but that's easy to ignore.... but i was originally gonna do a gutter mount but decided on just mounting it on the original cargo rack mounts, it turned out to be a little more effort but i think it looks pretty good... ill take some more detailed photos on how its mounted and post them.. it wasn't easy but worth the headache! haha

It ended up weighing around 50 to 75 pounds. And ill post the plans, but if you have autodesk inventor I can post them quickly. Otherwise ill post and PDF file.....
