I think its a great idea.

How much would it cost you to make those. If you can make them and sell for less than $50 and still turn a profit you are def going to be onto something here.

I wouldn't trust these as much as normal spacers and when you do the lift use shackles instead of blocks

I like the fact that you made your own. I just think reinventing the wheel is more work them needed.

If you unbolt the shocks, sway bar end links, and the trac bar, you can lift the front end almost to the top of a 60" high lift. At most it takes 20 minutes to unbolt said parts especially if you have air tools.


On a side note I wish I had some skills like yours... Ever now and then I have to take parts to the local machine shop.. And they make what they do look so easy it amazes me.

Initially I made them simply solid. But me being who I am, I cannot just leave it at that. Got an idea and had to run with it. Install should only be ten minutes from the second you grab a jack. The inside dia is -.020 of the tube. So just by tightening them down they squeeze the tube. They will never move or slide down once bolted together, not even with coil removed.

Agree on shackles.
I am assuming Op would like to use blocks since they would be free for him to make.

I don't know about the 10 min thing though. Granted I have 3 inch lift coils. I had to compress my springs even with everything unbolted. Stock springs could be that easy though.

Like Pingpong said take loose the sway bar, shocks, and track bar and it'll be cake. Just make sure to change out your brake lines first.. Or just unbolt them and straighten out the hard lines while you're working on it. Just have the jeep on jack stands in front of the crossmember, then put a jack as close as you can get to the edge of the axle while still having a good place to jack. LIft it up and then push down on the other side with your foot. It'll come right out.

You would trust plastic spacers over A2 tool steel spacers? But I am assuming that the OP is using grade 8 hardware to join the 2 pieces.

Tool steal isn't as good with shock as say a36, I'd be concerned about the threads

So all you have in these is your time and wear on the tools used to make them? I honestly think you are missing out on a huge profit potential here. I could see people maybe $60-70 for these and even if you chose not to split them and make them bolt together, therefore making them just a steel spacer, you could probably get 35-40 for them simply because they would outlast the plastic ones on the market.
